Unseasonably warm weather brought with it a torrent of rain, swelling the St. Mary's River beyond it's banks and making the River Greenway Trail impassable to would-be hikers this week.
Today, local weather station officials said the St. Marys River here had dropped from a Wednesday crest of 18.23 feet to 15.58 feet at 7 a.m. today.
