The Arnold's Construction 10-U Decatur All-Stars recently concluded its postseason campaign with a 2-2 showing at the Hoagland 10-U All-Star Baseball Tournament.
Arnold's fell to the Harlan All-Stars 10-5, downed New Haven 8-5, stopped Monroeville 13-7, and fell to Kendallville 6-3. The two teams which defeated the local squad made it to the finals of the tourney.

The Adams County Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) recently conducted a search and rescue exercise at Swiss Heritage Village in Berne.
The CERT program began here in 2009 and, according to an announcement from the county Emergency Management Agency (EMA), the program "educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact the area and trains them in basic disaster response skills."
A Wells County man with a rural Geneva address, Caleb B. Sain, was arraigned in Adams Circuit Court on Wednesday in regard to a robbery committed on July 18 at the Walgreen Pharmacy in Decatur.
Sain, 23, has pleaded not guilty to charges of robbery and possession of a controlled substance and was set by Judge Frederick A. Schurger for an omnibus hearing on September 30 and for trial on November 4.
