Maxine Mae Beery, 90, of Decatur, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday at her residence.
She was born on February 12, 1921, in Fort Wayne to Earl and Inez Summers Smitley.
She married Lewis E. Beery, who preceded her on death on March 8, 1998.
Rhonda F. Higginbotham, 51, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Sunday in New Haven Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born to James and Janice Gray Imel.
Among survivors are her father, of Middletown, Indiana; her husband, Howard D. Higginbotham of Fort Wayne; and three daughters,Amy Higginbotham of Decatur and Mrs. Matt (Elizabeth) Wolber and Mrs. Eduardo (Melissa) Martinez of Fort Wayne.
Bellmont Volleyball Coach Craig Krull is holding three meetings announcing the summer volleyball schedule. Any Bellmont student interested in playing volleyball in the fall needs to attend just one meeting to receive the calendar.
The meetings are at 8:00 p.m., dates and locations are: Sunday May 22, in the main Bellmont gym; Monday May 23, and Wednesday, May 25, in the BHS auxiliary gym.

MONROE—Led by a "monster" home run to left field into the wind by Alyssa Keller, the Adams Central Jets posted a 3-1 ACAC softball triumph over Southern Wells Monday evening at the AC diamond.
Keller's solo shot in the bottom of the fourth as the leadoff hitter for Adams Central broke up a scoreless pitching dual between Sydnee Peterson of the Jets and Crista Carter of Southern Wells.
The Adams County Solid Waste Management District Board is preparing to take action to help thwart a possible move in the Indiana legislature to prevent property taxes from being used to finance all the county solid waste districts in the state and to keep the local waste-handling operation going in a different way if such a bill becomes law.
Three people remained hospitalized today as a result of a two-vehicle traffic accident which occurred last Friday and took the life of Drake T. Hill, 21, of Wren, Ohio, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
The Adams County Sheriff's Department released a report about the accident late Monday morning. The mishap occurred on Piqua Rd. near State Rd. 101.
