Nichole J. "Nikki" Summersett, 29, of Berne, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at her residence.
She was born on September 17, 1982, in Adams County to Steven and Penny Liechty Haines, who live in Berne.
She married Jeff Summersett on October 20, 2007; he survives.
She was a graduate of South Adams High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Nursing at Marion, Indiana.
Agricultural projections for 2012 in the United States are fairly good, with "a pretty smooth landing on the other side" for farm producers after enjoying peak crop prices this year.
That's according to Dr. Chris Hurt, a 31-year agricultural economist at Purdue University, who delivered the annual Ag Outlook report on Thursday night to some 100 people at a supper held in the 4-H Fairgrounds dining hall at Monroe.
Further information concerning the police pursuit on Wednesday afternoon which reached speeds of nearly 80 mph at one point before the car being chased crashed into a local house was released this morning by the Decatur Police Department.
The Purdue University Varsity Glee Club and the Purduettes will perform on Sunday, March 4, in Erekson Theatre at Bellmont High School at 3 p.m. This will be the first time in northeastern Indiana that the two vocal groups will perform together, an announcement said.
Tickets will be $15 per person.
The two Purdue groups will also attend a buffet lunch at BHS from noon to 1:30 p.m. on March 4, with admission of $10 per person for a limited number of tickets.
