Eileen A. Andrews, 94, of Decatur, a former Adams County Clerk, died at 6:05 a.m. Thursday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community.
She was born on March 15, 1917, in Decatur to Lottie A. and Verda M. Bigham Jackson.
She married John F. Andrews on November 27, 1938, in Zion Reformed Church of Decatur; he passed away in 1996.
She served for three years as Adams County Clerk and was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Naomi I. Buckey, 90, of Huntington, a former Geneva resident, died Wednesday at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Geneva on January 8, 1921, to Theodore and Bertha B. Snow Pusey.
Among survivors are a daughter, Mrs. James (Susan E.) Carter of Huntington, and a sister, Mary Pusey of Geneva.
James Fisher, 78, formerly of Celina, Ohio, died Wednesday in Van Wert, Ohio, Hospice Center.
Among survivors are his wife, Martha; a son and five daughters, including Mrs. Gary (Debra) Hamrick of Willshire.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Kessler Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were by Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Colleen J. "Connie" Miller, 82, of Van Wert, Ohio, died Wednesday at Van Wert In-patient Hospice Center.
Among survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Byron (Darlene) Gregory of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mrs. Rick (Susan) Farley of Carmel.
She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, with burial in Woodland Cemetery of Van Wert. Visiting hours are 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
A different type of football huddle was seen at Adams Central's Regional pep rally on Thursday night.
Superintendent Mike Pettibone, half-bald, but all-AC, told the crowd that when the Flying Jets were in the midst of a five-game losing streak, he promised to let the team members write their names on his head if they won a Sectional.

A report from Larry Carty, the North Adams director of transportation, facilities and grounds, at this week's school board meeting turned out primarily to be a discussion with the board over what repairs need to be done at Bob Worthman Stadium.
